Like fashion, music tastes change with time. To help you keep up-to-date we have compiled a list of our top 5 songs for weddings in 2014. We've used our website statistics to choose the songs so don't blame us if you don't like them :-)
1. Umbrella - Rihanna
At first it seems a strange choice for a wedding, Rihanna doesn't have the most wholesome reputation after all. But when you think a little bit more about the lyrics it is fairly romantic in a hip hop sort of way! Anyway, it's one of the most popular songs doing the rounds in 2014.
2. Love Game - Lady Gaga
Again, Lady Gaga isn't the first name that you would think of for a wedding song. But at the end of the day it does have love in the title and never fails to get the dance floor rocking. A bit of dramatic flair never goes amiss either!
3. Crazy in Love - Beyonce
This classic chart tune is sure to get your drunken relatives up out of their seats. Filling the dance floor can be a challenge at your average party but the right choice of music can really make a huge difference.
4. This Love - Maroon 5
This has to be one of the catchiest pop songs written in the last 20 years. Everyone will know the words and everyone will sing along (in the chorus anyway!). Hands in the air everyone!
Our channel on the popular video sharing site YouTube has been getting really popular lately. Some of our songs are attracting literally thousands of viewings so we thought it would be a good idea to let you know about a couple of our most seen tracks over the past 7 days.
Surprisingly for us, it is not the typically famous songs which are attracting the most attention. One of the most viewed videos this week has been Brain Crain's Butterfly Waltz. This tune is not really that well known in the wider music community but in terms of weddings it seems to be a massive hit. HAve a listen and let us know what you think with a comment.
Another song dragging in the hits this week has been One More Step Along The World I Go. This classic hymn which most of us know from our childhood assembly days has been seen nearly 3000 times in the past few weeks. Click on the banner below to visit our channel and check out all of the great music for yourself.
The garter toss is that special part of the day where the bride passes on her good to fortune to another female member of the wedding congregation. The musical accompaniment to this part of the day is often a tongue-in-cheek song with some sort of double connotations. However, any song which means something to the bride and her bridesmaids can work just as well for this ceremony. The selected tracks below fit both of those criteria with some fun and some a little bit more female-friendly. Remember that you can browse through the tracks by clicking the “next” and “previous” buttons on any of our song pages.
Here a couple of the latest videos that we have added to Wedding Music Samples. We are constantly refinging our lists to be up-to-date and weed out anything that has become "old hat". Don't know why it took us so long to add this fist song but anyway, we have finally caught up
and added this absolutel classic piece.
Marvin Gaye - Heard it through the Grapevine
Here are the other latest tunes to be added, they are all pretty classic in nature as well but we felt that it was time to get them included. Let us know with a comment which tracks you would like added in the forthcoming updates.

Firstly, try to go and see the band playing live before you book. If this is not an option, find some youtube videos of them playing at a live concert. Sometimes, listening to audio clips of your chosen artist can be misleading, its amazing what a top quality recording studio can acheive! Secondly, use a reputable agency when choosing your musicians. An agency offers a little more security than dealing with the act directly.
Here are some other things to ponder before deciding upon a band for your special day. Will the band require a dressing room? If they are using costumes then the musicians will definatly require somewhere to get changed. Check with your venue that there is somewhere suitable, if the venue is a hotel ask them to provide a room for a couple of hours. Try to get them to decide on a set list before your event, you will want to know exactly what the band will play to make sure that it is suitable for your guests.
Choosing your wedding reception music can be a difficult job. We would suggest using a reputable agency who are experienced in providing live musicians and bands for weddings. Find a band on their books that you like and contect them for more information. We would suggest Wedding Reception Music page from a reputable online music agency.
